Savvy Studio plans and setup
Native IDX search vs an IDX iframe: native search is part of your pages, so listing pages live on your domain. An iframe frames another site.
The short answer
Updated Updated November 2026
What is the difference between native IDX search and an IDX iframe?
Native IDX search is built into your own site's pages, so search results and listing detail pages live on your domain and can be read by search engines. An IDX iframe is a window showing a page hosted somewhere else, so those pages usually do not count as your content. Savvy Studio uses native search with a map where the MLS feed supports it.
When listing pages sit on your own domain and can be indexed, they add to your site instead of someone else's. Visitors also stay in one experience, which is easier to use. A framed search can work, but it gives your site less to show for the listings your visitors view.
The IDX add-on gives you live MLS listings, auto-synced, on dedicated, indexable listing pages on your own domain, with native search and a map where your MLS feed supports it. MLS attribution and disclaimers stay with every listing. The add-on is $99 a month or $990 a year plus a one-time $99 IDX setup fee.
