Can Claude Code build a real estate website with live listings?

Yes. Claude Code can build the site and, with the RealSavvy connector, add live MLS listings through licensed widgets: search with a map, neighborhood grids, listing grids and sliders. It starts from get_starter, a working page set in your brand, then adds widgets with one script tag and a slot per widget. Listing data never goes into your code. You need a paid RealSavvy account with IDX.

Connect Claude Code

Run this once in your terminal, using the URL from portal.agnt.pro (Website, Connect to Claude, Get my key): claude mcp add --transport http realsavvy <your connector URL> --scope user The user scope makes the connector available in every project. Treat the URL like a password and keep it out of committed files. If it leaks, click New key in the portal and run the command again.

Build it step by step

  • Ask Claude Code to run get_site and get_guide so it knows your markets, brand kit and the rules
  • Ask for get_starter: home, search and neighborhood pages with a menu, photo hero and compliant footer, in plain HTML and CSS
  • Ask: "Put a grid of homes for sale in Bouldin Creek on my neighborhood page."
  • Ask for a contact form that sends leads to Follow Up Boss
  • Deploy, then have it run check_install and check_design on the live page

Why listings stay in widgets

MLS rules require listings to show through a licensed display with attribution. No connector tool returns listing rows, so Claude Code never has addresses, prices or photos to paste. Widgets carry the MLS credit and disclaimers and show current listings without you touching the code. Search goes in an idx-search slot, never a homemade iframe.

If you would rather not host it

Claude Code can also edit a hosted Savvy Studio site directly through the same connector, with drafts, preview and undo. Edits it writes itself cost no Studio credits. A site built elsewhere can move to Studio later with move_to_studio, so you are not locked into maintaining code you no longer want to run.

More questions, answered

Do I host the site myself?

If Claude Code builds it in your own project, yes, you deploy it where you like. If you would rather not maintain it, hosted Savvy Studio is $99/month and includes the connector.

Will search engines see the listings?

On Savvy Studio, listings live on dedicated, indexable listing pages on your own domain. check_install shows what search and AI crawlers can read on a page you host.

Can Claude Code edit an existing Studio site?

Yes. Ask it to run studio_overview, then change blocks, create pages or edit CSS. Everything lands in the draft until you agree to publish.
